House 04x01

English: Beautiful!!! Napoletano: Ruoss!!! Nu capaton allucinant!!! American: Cooooool!!!

585 consecutive minutes among Heroes

Update 2007-10-02: I just discovered that [en:NBC] has released, during all the Heroes series, graphic novels that “complete” the Heroes story. More details [en:List_of_Heroes_graphic_novels|here]. Good stuff NBC!!! WOW. I’m addicted. Another time. On June 2007 my friend Nemo wrote a post about his new addiction, [en:Heroes_(TV series)|Heroes], a brand new american TV Serial: Heroes is an American science fiction drama television series, created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006. The show tells the story of several people who “thought they were like everyone else… until they realized they have incredible abilities” such as telepathy, time travel, flight and spontaneous regeneration. These people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind. The series emulates the writing style of American comic books with short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Kring said “we have talked about where the show goes up to five seasons.” … ...

English Humor

There was once a man who had 2 horses, but he couldn’t tell them apart. So he cut the tail off one, but it didn’t work, because it grew again. So he cut the mane off one, but it didn’t work, because it grew again. Then he misured them, and he found that the black hourse was 4cm shorter than the white horse. -_- P.S. This “joke” was used (in an interesting teaching way) during my first lesson for the ESOL L1 course in the [en:Southwark College], just started today. P.P.S. I know: it’s a shame to have a course in Saturday, at 9:30, when you are supposed to sleep. But, what can I do?

My friend Manu, after she has Simpsonized her boyfriend and her self, she wasted her time Simpsonizing Me! :) Here is the result: Yeah, I have the face of a Serial Killer, haven’t I? Or… just of a “pesc eh nicolò” (sorry, I can’t translate it)!

My iPod Video 30GB on eBay

Update 2007-09-14: I re-listed it on eBay because they contacted me and said that I’ll receive my money for the 2 auction back. As usual, eBay has a great Customer Care (or, at least, this is my present and past experience about that). Update 2007-09-12: I sold it twice. Twice was a spoof/fake. :( A fake account on eBay bought it with the option “Buy Now”. Then he asked to me to send the product in Africa (Nigeria) and asked to me to pay with PayPal. In the beginning I thought it was strange… but with the money, I would sell also in Nicaragua. ...

HiEuro 0.2

Here we are. 0.2. 0.2 of nothing but a “divertissment” which help me to learn better and better the Cocoa Framework, and discover all the magic stuff it does. The release notes is: 0.2 (2007-09-09) * Support for Italian, Spanish, French and German (Thanks to [Manu](http://secretum.neminis.org/)). > * New "Preferences" panel to set the "Default Currency" to convert from/to and the "Default Currency Ammount" to set at the application startup (Thanks to the [Alhandra's](http://alhandra.wordpress.com/) suggestion). > * Remove a Bug in the "German Mark" definition (I wrote "Deutsche Mark" in the English version :P ) > One important aspect I learnt is how to bind Preferences to the User Defaults (the Cocoa default preferences system). Pratically, the one that generates, for every app, a file .plist in your ~/Library/Preferences directory. Unix-Style joined with Apple-Style. ...

HiEuro 0.1

First release, first problem. After a lot of research about the standard [en:ISO 4217] (the one that define the “3 letter name” for every currency in the world) and all the symbols of European currencies, I miss one: the [en:Slovenian Tolar]. If someone is able to find it out and, ideally, to give me the relative [en:Unicode_Symbols|Unicode] it will be very appreciated. Also, I’m looking for someone able to translate the name of the different currencies (13) in, at least, French, German and Spanish. Other languages are welcome too. Manu, this call is to you ;) .
